Using Crossword Forge Live Puzzles

NOTE: Before you begin typing you may have to click into the content area of the puzzle first. This step should not be required on Internet Explorer under Windows, but is required for Safari on Mac OS X. Other browsers haven't been tested.

Keyboard Shortcuts

Key Name	Explanation
left, right, up, down (arrow keys)	Moves the currently highlighted block to the next available position in the direction chosen. It will jump over any black space.
enter/return	Moves to the next word in the list
shift enter/return	Moves to the previous word in the list
tab	Toggle between the horizontal and vertical words that are shared by a particular highlighted block. Note: When the highlighted block is not at the intersection between horizontal and vertical words, tab will do nothing.
backspace/delete	Deletes the current letter and backs up to the previous letter in the current word, or if at the first character to the previous word.
del/delete	Deletes the current letter but does not back up to the previous letter in the current word.
alphanumerics (e.g. a b c 1 2 3)	Inserts the character typed at the currently highlighted position. Alternatively you can use the input alphabet available in the "+" menu.
