Adding Sound or Music to a Question
In version 1.5 and beyond, Quiz Press lets you add MP3 sound or music to each question.
You must be using version 1.5 or higher of Quiz Press to use this feature. You can download it here.
Method 1: Loading an MP3 File
- Find the question that you want to add sound/music (MP3) to (or create it).
- Click the Media button. A menu should appear. It's a button aligned with the right edge of the Question field and directly above it. (The blue-green image represents a painting of a sea-scape.)
- Choose Load Multimedia File... A file browser dialog should appear.
- Windows: Change the filter to show MP3 files (i.e. Choose "Sound File MP3 (*.mp3 )" ).
Mac: Skip this step, any available MP3 files show automatically.
- Select the MP3 file and dismiss the dialog.
- You should now be able to preview the MP3 you just added in the multimedia preview window.
Method 2: Using Drag and Drop.
- Find the question that you want to add sound/music (MP3) to (or create it).
- Drag and drop the MP3 file onto the right hand side of the Quiz Press window.
- You should now be able to preview the MP3 you just added in the multimedia preview window.
Method 3: Using the Clipboard (a.k.a. Copy and Paste).
Note: Currently this method only works on Mac OS X.
- Copy the sound/music (MP3) file to the clipboard from the Finder.
- Find the question that you want to add the MP3 to (or create it).
- Click the Media button. A menu should appear. It's a button aligned with the right edge of the Question field and directly above it. (The blue-green image represents a painting of a sea-scape.)
- Choose Paste Multimedia From Clipboard.
- You should now be able to preview the MP3 you just added in the multimedia preview window.
